Yesterday; not a good day generally, but rescued by photography.

As examples, my day included:

27 tonnes of spuds across the M11
A14 blocked by a fire in a van carrying cylinders
Torrential storms and flash floods

All of which meant almost 3 hrs to get home (normally 30 mins)

But I did get home in time for my first go at lightning photography with the A80 and got this, literally from the front doorstep:

Well worth the half dozen mozzie bites I think, and nice to end the day on something positive.....

C+C welcome, as always

They wern't your spuds were they? :p

Thankfully not, or I'd have had my chips!! <groans> :D

Apparently, all the M11 traffic was having to peel off through Harlow to get around it.

Sorry. I'll stop now.......

Yes, please do.

Nice shot by the way, a bit more spectacular than what we got. 30 mins solid on Tuesday night but I oculd only see the reflected flashes on the clouds and I sure wasn't going outside with a nice metal bodied camera on a carbon tripod

Excellent pic, really stunning mate...awesome aint the word.

God i wish London would get some lightening like that:p
