Since about 4-5 months after having my iPhone 6 the lightning port has been somewhat dodgy, you have to wriggle the lightning cable in the bottom of the phone to get it in the absolute correct position to charge and if you knock it or move it ever so slightly it just stops charging which is massively annoying. It also means you cannot really use the phone whilst it is charging as it just constantly buzzes and vibrates in your hand as the phone begins charging then stops then starts again as the wire is moved.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it possible there is something blocking the connections inside like dirt? I'd rather not have to go to an Apple store and get it replaced/repaired as there isn't an Apple store in my city or anywhere near me and would mean a couple of hours drive each way too.

Yeah I use several different lightning cables that are dotted around the house for other iPhones and iPads and they all work fine in other devices, just my phone that has problems.

Fluff in the port.

Get some stiff paper/card and make a pokey thing and scoop all the fluff and crap out. I think you'll be surprised how much you get out. :]

Haha thanks, is it like the bellybutton of the iPhone!?

I'll give it a try later, its currently on charge so cant disturb it yet.
