Last nights storms came outta know where in London/South East. Shame it didn't pass right over head around here but managed to grab one decentish shot, has been quite cropped.

I still think this could have been better, it had to be cropped quite a lot due to me shooting out of a window and the unpredictable nature of lightning. Not wanting to go outside and get my 400D wet

Long exposure with a remote shutter is how I got it. This storm was very active. I've not seen a storm like it in ages, it helped a lot. There would be a clue that a bolt would hit in the same region I was pointing towards as there would be like a chain reaction from South to South-East. Never seen a storm so active before in a long time, was literally non stop. Even 3 hours later I looked out in the same direction and could still see flashes of light with no thunder.

Storms are amazing
