Not sure if this is the right forum but, Lightroom 4.3 is not seeing the RAW files from my Fujifilm HS50EXR. The camera is not in the list of supported cameras but its predecessor is.

Any ideas why Adobe don't recognise newer models and is it possible to tell either my camera or the RAW file it came from an HS30EXR say?

Andi.

The same reason if the Canon 5D MKIV came out tomorrow they may not recognise it.

Also, as a less 'professional' camera it won't be on the list of 'let's make this supported quickly'

Support for this camera isn't in the 4.4RC either - You might have to wait until the RC expires (currently the end of next month) to see if it made it into the final release

Can anyone explain the differences in RAW files that make it so model specific? Why would Fuji (or anyone) change the actual information (other than the model number) in their RAW files between models in a range?

Andi.

Lightroom was still able to read the RAW files from my 650d before there was support for it but perhaps that's just because they were similar to other Canon files? Not sure.
