Hi all, I am in need of assistance here.

I'm in the process of streamlining my photo library, and have all of my photos on an external HDD.

I have gone though the photos from a recent trip to New York and from the 2500 photos have used the rating system to get it down to 334 (quite happy with that). But i want to export the selected photos to their own album/folder on the laptop HDD as i will be editing these and using them a lot for a while, how to I do this? I cant seem to find a way to do it. Also, how do i add it to the library (on the left of the program).

Sorry if this is really simple, but I'm banging my head against a wall here.

You can select all the starred ones by clicking the filter text (bottom right-ish, it should slide open with options to filter by flags, ratings or colours etc).

You can then click the bar with the stars on to filter by 3 star or whatever, then hold CTRL+A to select all those photos. You can then export them.

As above and you can then drag the selected ones to a folder in the catalogue. You can also browse that folder in explorer and move them manually + re-import into a new catalogue.
