Lightroom 6 for Students

Hi all, I'm planning on purchasing Lightroom for editing my photos.

I'm just wondering if LR6 is worth the £9/month for a year or if I would be better off with LR5 with a one off payment of £60?

Just found out amazon is oos on lr5. And jessops have it for £90, which comes out nearly the same as £9x12 spread out.
Doubt I'll have any use for PS, just want to correct some stuff really with light room. And I have a d3300.
