I've asked before but cant seem to get this to work....

Currently Lightroom imports my photos to D:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Pictures. I regularly backup this folder and have a copy of it on another HDD.

I'm out of space on my D: drive and want to move the lot to another partition, I: that has more space. I should have done this much earlier really...So how do I move the Librbary database and all the photos to the new drive and configure Lightroom to import to this new location?

Thanks.

Usual disclaimers to the following apply - probably worth a bit of practice if you can.

You should be able to move the originals easily enough just using Explorer, the next time Lightroom starts up all the folders will be marked as missing and you just right click on them and use the option to locate them again and all should be well. Moving the Lightroom database itself should be a simple move too, just pick the new location when starting Lightroom after the move.

Not sure on the default import location though, I prefer to leave the photo where it's been uploaded and just add it to the database.
