This has probably been done to death, but I'm curios as to how much faster newer machines are to mine at Exporting High Res JPEG's from Lightroom?
My machine is an old, i7 2600K at stock speeds so 3.4Ghz but boosts to 4.2Ghz, 16GB DDR3 RAM, GTX 960GPU, Samsuns SSD and LR Catalogue and Pictures on a 3TB WD Black drive. OS is Windows 10.
I've just exported 735 files (mixture of D700 and D750 NEF RAW's) from it and it took almost exactly 80 minutes. I replicated it again and it was the same time. Export job is renaming the files and sharpening for screen.
CPU performance fluctuates between 75-100% and RAM is at about 8Gb use when exporting.
Anyone care to run a test and specs?
