Lightroom for iPad

Looks good for jpeg's but RAW file editing on an ipad (or any other tablet) hurts unless Adobe have some kind of magic pill in their software.

It uses LR5's smart previews for editing not the RAWs, any edits get synced back to your catalog using CC. I personally don't have any use for it (I have a laptop for editing away from home), but I can imagine it'll be useful if you're working to a tight deadline and need to push out some quick proofs on the go or want to do some editing as you're travelling.

I'm hoping it syncs presets too as it'll be nice to use give people previews and do a few minor adjustments on the fly.

LR runs just as fast on my macbook as it does on m desktop.

Shame. I was actually thinking of buying an iPad for this! Unfortunately the CC thing/presets kills it for me.

Then again I don't really need it. I just thought it would be nice.

Well I downloaded it to have a look.... and I need Lightroom 5.4.....

Edit: Which after ignoring the check for update function of Lightroom, I now have.

I really like it, it works quite nicely on my old iPad 2. Custom presets would be great, and would seem to be easy to implement? I wonder if licensing might be an issue?

about time but like many tablets, its useless. good luck exporting raw files on a ipad. o wait...

how? lol impossible

It's less of a final export device and more "I'm shooting on location and don't much fancy having to take my full desktop setup to every shoot I go on".

Even a laptop isn't that ideal.
