Select the ones you want to 'export' then right click on them and follow the export dialogue, remember that you can save those options as a present so next time is quicker.
Be aware that lr applies non destructive changes to your files, it's only when you chose to output them that the edits are applied as part of the output rendering process.
In so many ways this is a good thing, you may have a number of images that need almost exactly the same treatment (think sensor debris cleaning), you can edit one image and then apply the same treatment to as many additional images as you chose, if the treatment isn't quite rigt for one image then eithr revert to the original settings or back off some of the corrections - a very powerful aspect of the app.
