Hay all.

I just sorted my cables out in my pc case and funny thing going on when i turn my lights on the pc seems to runs slower ? lol

Lights like this.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showp...yan TWIN20 CCFL Light - 2 x 20cm Blue (CC9628)

Maybe some thing up with my PSU ( its was work find before i rearranged the cables so maybe the lights doing some thing to the PSU

PSu is a hiper 580 R i got like 7 fans running off it as well .

I tested the speed by msn if i block some one with lights on it takes like 3 seconds to see the block icon.

With the lights off its instant and the net seems faster lol

Yeah i think it was i changed the lights to there own cable going to the PSU
and seems to fixed it.

But got me thinking if my PSU reaching its peak with all the fans and that

and maybe that why my pc restarts it self when i run the the monitor and tv at the same time in dual screen mode from the 4850 but only restarts it self when i overclock the 4850 in duel screen mode.

it works fine when i don't over clock.

You could get a cheap meter to see how much your PSU is pulling out of the wall, but that would only tell you part of the story. You could be overloading on one output only (e.g. 12V).

Why the slowdown, though? Automatic underclocking of the CPU due to reduced power?

Hmm...does dual screen mode draw more power? Obviously, the displays themselves are powered from the mains.

Fans usually require very little power. For example, I have 120mm Akasa Ultra Quiet fans (the amber ones). At full speed, they would need 0.18A@12V = 2.16W. I doubt if your 7 fans use 2A between them.

All seems fine after i changed the lights to there on cable :D

I thinking of getting rid of the hiper580 psu soon anyways it CF or get a 260

I wont trust it i think with any more power then what i have hehe

Thanks
