Just received an email saying that my copies of the Original unmolested Trilogy are now winging their way across the ocean to me.

At last - Han shooting first, no horrible CGI Jabba etc....

All I need now is the Bladerunner one to be posted and I'll be a happy person for days!

*just realised that these are 10 days early!!*

They're from the Pre-Special Edition remaster work afaik.

Georgieboy had to digitally scan the lot in to do the digital restoration as the film was in such a poor state. *Darth Vader was a pale blue/green colour - it had detioriated that much* Then after they had done that they went about 'completing' the film....

All they've probably done is taken the Remastered edition and stuck it on a dvd.

Somewhere like ILM must have a backup procedure from hell in place....

Mine arrived today.

Have to say - I'm disapointed.

The theatrical release could almost be taken from the VHS versions.
It's in 4:3 letterboxed to 2.35:1 :eek:

Same as the old video's were.

George REALLY does not want us to have a good version of the theatrical release.

It's not too bad, bit grainy, bit dark, bit fuzzy in places, but the audio is the original 2.0.

Will post a better review once I've gone through both disks...
