The series depicts the lives of fierce yet passionate gangsters and people living in a huge entertainment district, Kamurochō, a fictional district modeled after the violent Shinjuku ward’s Kabukichō, that acts as the backdrop of the gameplay. Like a Dragon: Yakuza showcases modern Japan and the dramatic stories of these intense characters, such as the legendary Kazuma Kiryu, that games in the past have not been able to explore.

I enjoy the like a dragon series of games, but not sure how well this will translate into a TV series

Didn't even realise this was being adapted. I played a bit of one of the Yakuza games but couldn't really get into it.

Easily amongst my best games series of all time. I can't wait to see the ingame districts of Kamarucho (based on Kabukichō, Shinjuku), and Isezaki Ijincho (Yokohama). If Amazon can go into the insane details of the Fallout show with this, then I do have high hopes. This is one of those live action flicks that won't appease every fan though.
