Likelihood of getting a replacement card

I made a thread a while back about a faulty card, one of my 7970's hard locks my computer whenever I minimised a game and opened you tube or something similar. I thought it was a crossfire or driver issue at first, but I reinstalled windows, tried drivers 12.2 to 12.7, tried different slots, using it on it's own and nothing fixed it. The other card NEVER does this when on it's own, while the faulty one does.

I have returned it to the supplier, stating that my other card doesn't do this and for a nearly £400 card I don't expect it to happen. Well they accepted the RMA and said they can't duplicate the fault. It's a very weird problem and they said they can send it to a Sapphire base somewhere in the UK to test it more thoroughly.

My question is, if they find nothing too, am I stuck with that card then since the problem can't be duplicated and it's such an odd one?

Hi, by any chance did you try the faulty GPU in another PC to rule out that it is not your PC at fault.

Hi, I didn't have that option available sadly, but wish I had tried that too. But it doesn't happen with my other card in the same PC (another 7970) and only started doing it after owning the card for maybe 2/3 months.

I did try chrome and firefox too.
