I've got hre 1gb with lila, upstairs the connection is weak, we've tried boosters but it's hardly any better, wiring isn't an option, is there any routers that have a really strong WiFi performance vs the stock one provided?

Thanks

You can’t overcome the laws of physics with a new router, and done forget the devices have to be able to take back to the wifi device. Look into hard wiring; it’s a lot simpler than people think.

Failing that look into the Deco mesh systems.

Is the deco system different to any other signal booster? Sorry I've just never heard of it
Compared to boosters mesh systems allow client devices to roam between points better. But it still requires you to place the other points in places with strong signal.

So for example with the booster, don't place it upstairs where the signal is already weak, place it halfway between that and the router so it can still get a decent signal.

Physical disability and no one to help, unfortunately I can't climb a wall on a chair hahahaha
Ah, that I can understand. Apologies for prying but a lot of people just put it in the too hard column when in a lot of cases it isn’t, and it solves a whole host of issues.

Have you looked into powerline adapters? They plug into your electric sockets and use the electric cables to send the signal. You'd plug one in downstairs next to router (some have plug passthrough so can plug router into it for power) and use ethernet cable from router to the plug. You'd then plug the other adapter in upstairs where you need the strongest WiFi signal. The one upstairs will likely have a ethernet port that you can plug devices into as well. Just need to make sure that your electirc cables are on the same circuit. You wont get 1Gb speed on WiFi from your router and speed wont be as good on these compared to cable (or even another router) but they'll still do an ok job for you. If you buy from a certain bug named online retailer, you can always return them if they don't work.
