Limitations of using PS3 via Component?

Hey,

Just wondering what the limitations are in connecting a PS3 with a component cable (rather than HDMI). Currently using the PS3 over a manual HDMI switch with the Sky HD box, and it's a bit annoying when they are both on at the same time!

Two things I've dug up are - only up to 1080i support, and no DVD upscaling. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

Cheers,

Su

P.S. Does component cable quality have a massive impact, or will the £7 Venom jobby do the trick?

Wait, I just realised I can stick the Sky+ HD box on component (doh!! :p). Probably the wrong place to ask this, but are there any *functional* shortcomings if I do that? Mainly thinking of HDCP etc. (I know PQ will vary from TV to TV, and is also a bit subjective).

Cheers,

Su
