Riiight so,

My connection keeps saying on Windows it has limited or no connectivity, I've tried everything it just won't connect, even reinstalled Windows and got the same issue, no network settings have changed and it's only this PC the internet won't work on.

Is it possible the Ethernet adapter on my motherboard has stopped working? it's detected by Windows and is all installed but the internet just stopped working, I checked the bios, reinstalled the ethernet drivers but nothing.

I'm guessing your using DHCP to get your IP address as you usually get this when it's failed to pick up a valid IP. Check your PC's MAC address is in your DHCP server/router (if you've locked it down by MAC address) if it's wireless check you have the right network key in (if you use it) and the correct network name (SSID). Basically check your settings, your not getting an IP so something isn't up. The fact that it's warning you of this generally means the hardware is ok, but it is possible the driver is a little screwy.

You could always try manually setting an IP address on it.

Check your firewall on the PC isn't blocking stuff you need.

Start menu > Run > type "cmd" > type "ipconfig"

that'll let you know if your getting an IP or not. Sorry if you already knew that just find it handy to chuck it in just incase :p

Hehe I slept on it as I could not figure it out, I wake up thinking sigh I'm gona have to get the Mum to give money for a new network card, what happens? the internet loads without problems again.

This PC randomly breaking temporarily is really stressing me :(

Very odd I didn't do a bloody thing! :p

What annoys me is I now know reinstalling Windows was a total waste of time, a whole night of reinstalling and downloading patches tonight it is. :o

Tried to backup using Partition Magic for a spare partition but that just had to be corrupt and I didn't have the patience to reinstall, was so annoyed last night : <
