Limited slip diff

Could someone explain to me what this means in laymans terms ?

The car in question is an MX5 - have already made a thread about it http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17859276 but im wondering if this is an option worthwhile getting ?

If it improves traction im thinking yes.

There are a gazillion special editions out there but a lot of them do come with LSD.

Do you mean in general for cars or are you saying there are different types of LSD for the MX5 ?

It's one to ask people experienced in the car what they would recommend, because LSD's are not one size fits all.

corners a lot better, it doesnt spin a wheel coming off round abouts anymore.

Yeah the Torsen one is the one to get so im reading.. more readily available in the MK2's it seems but I think the GF will end up with one of those anyway.
