Hi All

Im building up a spare PC, all going into a PC50 (Lian Li) case, some of you may know that the PSU is mounted over the motherboard, and the CPU so there is very limited space available!

I need a new Cooler for the 2600+ CPU, that cant be much taller than a Stock Amd HSF, but needs to be much better than that!

I looked at this:

http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/view.asp?idx=141&code=009

Would this BE ok, or can anyone recommend a better one? Quieter the better really, cost £20 or so would be nice!

Edit: Scratch that, the motherboard (NF7-s) its going in doesnt have the four mounting holes for this, so i can use it :(

Socket 462 is the same thing is it not? :)

But by the by, i cant use it anyway :( I really dont want to have to use a Factory HSF, cos they suck!

Yeah, it must be. :( The case is so compact in there, i'lll have very little space so any overhang wont fit at all.

Plus, is that NF7s a V2 board? The one i have is just the NF7s.

Hrmm, most intreguing then... Think im going to have to wait til it arrives hopefully on tuesday or maybe even tomorrow.

Havent got a PSU yet either, so im in no hurry for the HSF!!

Thanks for your advice Tim :)

Too tall surely. You're going to be a bit pushed with this to be honest.

If you want small but good I can only suggest picking up something like an Alpha 8045 and cutting the pins down to length.

I was hoping to get a thermalright in there, but it would be too big :(

I had an Akasa in there last time, but it got too noisy. I might have to get another and try to change the fan. Will see what i can do when the Mobo comes then measure the exact room.

Should have done that before i took it to bits!!
