Hi there. Yesterday I brought home the 240hz monitor from AOC - the Agon 251fz. For me, the overall experience with this monitor is great, except for one little detail.. I'm stuck at 144hz. I'm using the DisplayPort 1.2 cable that came with the monitor, and I can't go above 144hz. I'm out of ideas.. I'm writing this in the hope, that one of you clever minds on here, might know something about this issue. I'm speculating that my GTX might be outdated - I hope not.

Did the monitor come with a CD/DVD? And did you update using the driver on it?

From Page 41 of the manual:

Select the "xxx.inf" file and click the "Open"button. Click the "OK"button.
• Select your monitor model and click the "Next"button. The files will be copied from the CD to your hard disk drive.
• Close all open windows and remove the CD.
• Restart the system. The system will automatically select the maximum refresh rate

You need something newer gen but it certainly does not have to be latest gen. Too bad anything AMD is sold out or to expensive to make sense, that freesync would have been nice to take advantage off.
