Limiting CPU usage by program

Hi,

Basically, Outlook uses a lot of CPU usage on my system, causing fans to ramp up for from what I can see, no reason. Does anyone have a program they would suggest that can launch on startup and limit the amount of CPU usage Outlook can use e.g. 20%?

More likely your outlook has a rogue addin running or something else (malware is a definite possibility) is at fault, outlook should not be using much cpu time at all once it has loaded, attempting to limit its cpu use is not the way to solve it.

It is because I use Google apps sync and unfortunately there is no way for me to not have to use this. It's either use it or no email

Process lasso might help, could also try giving it a lower priority. Not sure either will have any effect on your fans tho.
