Limiting CPU Usage for Linux VM

My FAH GPU client isn't getting the CPU time it needs, becuase my two Linux VMs are using most of it. I have noticed I'm losing up to 800PPD on certain work units as a result. Is there any way of cutting the CPU usage to about 95% on each VM, leaving 10% for the GPU and the system to run other apps?

Changing the priority of the processes doesn't help this.

Are you using 1 SMP client per VM instance? What CPU usage do these report in Linux as they typically use < 95% CPU anyway. You might want to look into a way of promoting the GPU process to a higher priority. By default, the VMs will be above the GPU client in the pecking order.

Yep running one SMP client per VM and running two VMs. Yeah they report about that however if I turn one VM off my GPU PPD goes up by upto 800PPD. I have just set the affinity of the GPU client in environmental variables so everytime it starts a new WU, it's still allowed to use all my cores, can this be done with priority levels aswell?
