Limiting upload speeds

My flatmates have a fasination with uploading huge videos to their facebook profiles at the moment.

Its absoloutely killing our broaband connection. I mean its taking 1-2 minutes to fully load a web page.

Is there anything that can be done to restrict or prohibit the amount of data being uploaded short of throwing their laptops into the snow ?

The router is a very basic ADSL/Wifi job.

Slap netlimiter on their machines?

Your only other option besides the one fluff suggests is to get a better router which can offer QOS... or machine based limits

You will need a better router. Check out Draytek.

Or tell them to stop it.
