Lincoln Cathedral: Anyone familiar with this vantage point ?

Does anyone live or known Lincoln well and could tell me where the photo on this website was taken from ?

I don't think it's taken from the castle, but, I might be wrong.

I always find bing maps and the birds eye view useful for this.

Theres a tall building on chapel lane which it could be the point?

The tower looks like the right place.

I've not seen it in a few months, but for the past few years they've been doing a lot of repair work to the front with scaffolding/netting covering large areas.

Looking at google maps and the angle it was taken, tower is too far away. If you drag the streetview icon over the top right turret on the castle wall, one of the photos shown there has the cathedral at the right angle with other buildings showing the same faces. Might need to do a castle tour if you're after the same shot

Yes, you're right. Looking at it again, it was take from the castle turret.
