Linda Smith RIP

She was indeed a fine comic and a sharp mind, one of the funniest panel members on R4 quiz shows and a brilliant standup.

Really loved listening to her on Radio 4 panel games, she was great. Had such a sharp wit.
 
Damn, I didn't realise she had cancer. I've seen her on QI a number of times, and she was very sharp witted. Too young to be taken by cancer. :(

No one did. She kept it quiet, according to Jeremy Hardy, because it didn't deserve to be talked about.
 
Very sad news :( A couple of years ago i used to listen to her all to the time on R4. I think she was quite often on the 'now show', fridays 6:30. Fantastic comedic mind. Shall be greatly missed.
 
someone had it on there msn name 2day, i didn't realise she had died, one of the few comedians that can actually make me laugh out loud, as oppose to smile.RIP
 
Always enjoyed her on Have I Got News For You and QI - she'll be sorely missed. Even more tragic that she was so young.

What with the footballer Peter Osgood and the actor Jack Wild who also died, its a sad sad week for entertainment :(
