Hi all,

About to move into new rented flat, which has just been built (we are the first tenants). It has a BT phone socket, but no dialtone.

My question is, are BT going to charge silly amounts to get the line connected? If they do, is it something the landlord should really reimburse?

Many thanks.

£29.99 if you get in this month i believe. that's what i just paid.

*edit actually they asked me if i was switching providers before they offered 29.99 i said yes but they don't take any further details (or didn't in my case) provided when they ask if you want to keep your number you just say nah give me a new one.
