Line stats

Can anyone in the know tell me if these line stats are OK?

Never been able to get them before because my old router didn't display them, but new one does

Line attenuation: (down 17db), (up 9.0bd)
Noise Margin: (down 14.3db), (up 24.0db)

There's nothing wrong with them so long as your connection stays up.

My connection is rock solid...in fact I don't think it's ever dropped in over 2 years with IDNet. And even when I was with Tiscali for nearly 3 years it only dropped out a couple of times.

What speeds are you connecting at? I'd assume from the stats that it's close to 8mb?

You should be able to top speeds on an ADSL2+ service like Sky (16Mb) and Be* (24Mb)

Yep, well....6.5mb - 7mb on average.

Do you have a master socket?

Undo the screws and pull the lower faceplate off. Plug your router into the test socket.

My guess is you will sync at 8Mb
