Lineage 2

Hi all, picked up lineage 2 cheap in my local shop. Turns out its miles from the latest version so im looking for the client to download the ones from the lineage 2 site dont seem to be ok, either that or im getting them corrupted in the download.

Does anyone out there play the game or can advise me how best to get this game working. There seems to be loads of different clients on FP and Gamershell which is were the Lin2 website points you to.

did you do any research about lineage 2 btw? do you know what you are getting into?

Yeah L2 is a huuuuge grindfest of the grindiest quality

I played it when it was in beta and then the release for a good two years.
If you make good friends and get in a nice guild then it's great but I can imagine I would have got sick of it real fast if I hadn't had good people around me and was able to do castle sieges etc

I quit for WoW though and don't play either now

Same, I loved the gfx and gameplay back in the beta... but it was clear that it was going to be a grind fest from day one.

Castle sieges are great fun, if you have a computer than can handle them and play on the right server - there is a (or did they open another one now?) European server.
