Lineups in 2012/2013

A thread Biz thought of yesterday, basically how do you want your side to line up next season? Obviously some formations/players are better in some games than others but in general what do you want to see from your club in 12/13?

From a United perspective assuming we dont sign anyone else I'd really like us to ditch 4-4-2 and lineup so;

Rafael---Smalling---Vidic---Evra
--------------Carrick--------------
------Cleverley------Kagawa------
Valencia------Rooney------Nani

Subs: Lindegaard, Ferdinand, Jones, Scholes, Young, Welbeck, Hernandez

Leaving the likes of Evans, Powell, Giggs & Anderson also in the squad

Okay now we have a problem :D :cool:
 
I reckon against most sides we'll go 4-4-2 so something like;

------------De Gea------------
Rafael---Vidic---Ferdinand---Evra
Valencia--Carrick--Scholes--Kagawa
------------Rooney
-------------RVP

And hopefully against tougher opposition Fergie will go back to his tried and tested 4-5-1/4-3-3 as he did 2 seasons back so something like;

------------De Gea------------
Jones---Vidic---Ferdinand---Evra
------------Scholes------------
-----Carrick---------Kagawa-----
Valencia-----RVP-----Rooney

To elaborate if I were picking the team he'd be in ahead of Valencia no question but I think it's safe to say the man who does pick the team feels otherwise
 
Actually fairly impressed with the strength of our squad when you write it all down;

Team 1:

Team 2:

------------Lindegaard------------
Jones---Smalling---Evans---Fabio*
Nani---Cleverley---Anderson---Young

And that's still with Fletcher, Giggs & Berbatov to spare
 
Yeah hence the * next to his name :p

Anyone know what exactly happened with Fryers? Did he sign for Spurs in the end or is he still in limbo?
 
Hasn't Malouda gone?

lol at the Hulk/Cavani/Moses comment as well, one of those stands out like a sore thumb :p
