Linger in the Shadows

There is a video of this on the PSN it looks very strange! Its not a games as i see it more of an interactive screensaver/demo, much like the stuff in the old Amiga/ST days. Does interest me though and depending on price i will probably get it.

So what exactly IS it then?
It's what they call a tech demo... think of an interactive piece of art with trophies for waggling your controller in arm bending ways to produce even weirder screen candy... does that answer your question... I thought not :D

So it's a waste of time then?

Yes, for $3 I bought it, but realistically it is a semi interactive 10 minute tech demo. It would make sense to release this when PS3 was new, for free as a tech demo, but tbh there's no fancy graphics in it that haven't been seen in other PS3 games. Whole thing reminds me of MGS4 for some reason (similar imagery, camera style).

It is clearly stated before you buy it it is not a game and within the application it also tells you. Pure impulse purchase, despite this I don't think this is the worst/bad value item on PSN. (I am fairly certain I have bought stuff that cost more and offered a lot less value before!!)

Your right about impulse purchase rp, I used to be involved in the old amiga demo scene, and I always enjoy a good tech demo... admittedly this one is a little out there but does show off some interesting imagery :)

I enjoyed it, found it confusing at first and completed all trophies in about 20 minutes (I think part of the purpose of these trophies is to inform rather than particularly to challenge).

It's worth finding all the pieces that make up the disc image (i.e. get all the 'Greetings to ...' trophies) for an extra few minutes of alternative old skool demo, and I think I will probably put this on to show to friends who don't normally play games as much as me. I pretty much enjoy art anyway, so this is quite nice although shorter and not quite as interactive as I'd like :)
