at work we host a simple .html page, that is basically just a page full of shortcuts to QA folders/documents on the file server.
href="file:///\\file-server\Quality\dull-info.doc"
I'm after what I guess is a "link checker" ?
I want it to check that every link on that page actually points to a file or a folder. (...in case I move a folder that's been linked to)
From the FAQ sticky, I tried out :
"REL Link Checker Lite"
this doesn't appear to do what I expected,
in that if I mangle a link to a folder, it still validates...?
do I need a more capable link checker ?
and ideally I'd like something free
