i linked to a stock cooler for someone on a review site and my post got edited because "link has competitors"

are we no longer allowed to link to review sites incase the site might contain a competitor advert? seemed a bit heavy handed imo it was probably a goodle targeted ad

It's a difficult one, but where do you draw the line? Especially when you can type things into search for example!!

It depends on who it was I think. There are a couple of UK review sites that have more than a passing relationship with a certain etailer...

it was elitebastards

there is no adverts for competitors at the end of the review there is however a list of retailers that sell it one of them beeing ocuk.

but they arent promoting anyone retailer and a lot of review sites do it.

so were not alowed to link to review sites anymore?

i only linked it because someone asked for a picture of the stock cooler which was not a page with any competitors so the mod must have read the whole review and then decided on a page i didnt even link to there was a competitor link.

even google has competitor links ;)

I think people should stop complaining about speaking on a free forum which is run by a business, and shockingly they don't want people being directed away from their business!

:p
