Hi everyone,
I have no idea if this is against the rules or has been tried before but, I have created a new LinkedIn group for members of the Overclockers Forums.

The purpose of the group is to help with networking and generally to build professional connections. I know there are a huge number of people here who could benefit from the connections and commercial experience some members have.

Here goes:

Obviously if this breaches any rules or is a complete flop I will close the group and crawl back into my dark corner :)

Additionally - I highly recommend it for those in a professional / office / white collar role. If I get someone applying for a role I usually check out their linkedin profile to see their history, how they describe their work and themselves, if I know anyone who knows them so I can get an informal reference, etc.

Is it a bit like an online CV then? Doesn't sound like a bad idea for some professions.

Indeed, LinkedIn is designed for professional networks rather than social. A lot of us here work in similar fields so I think some members could be of use to each other.

I've been on linked in for years, although I don't fancy OcUK and his dog looking through my profile and for that reason, I'm oot.
