So it seems a petty admin has removed from signature, which was a simple text link to my clan gaming site for arma.

We make no money from the site as it is just for clan people to chat on. So why has my link been removed?

Surely ocuk would want to encourage people to get more involved with PC gaming, it could lead to sales.

So why haven't all the server threads on battlefield 3, Wastelands, Dayz all been removed?

Those threads have been started just to spam clan websites and IP addresses to start of communities, yet I am targeted and punished.

Can all the threads and signatures be removed that have game server IP addresses links to and name references to gaming communities?

I will tell OCUK staff what I will do, I spend my entire Saturday linking to threads, posts and signatures where this rule is broken, admins can then simply delete them. This ocuk mods won't have to lift a finger.

Alternatively, can I just have my simple link to my arma clan website restored? It is a good source of recruitment for us, we are not a business, we don't have advertising links on our website, we just game and spend our money on overclockers hardware.

List of links to advertising: Please OCUK mods remove these links ASAP or clarify the rules, there are literately hundreds of people breaking these forums rules.

This disgusting spirit of gaming and creating gaming communities, all centered around ocuk forums must be stamped out.

I mean it obviously is bad for ocuk business, us to be excited about gaming and encouraging people to join.

To be fair he has a point. It isn't really fair if his signature gets removed for linking to a clan forum when plenty of other people do the same thing.

id have to agree, but making a thread over seems a bit silly, just message a mod and get it sorted that way, no need to do this publicly.

Think the OP has gone about this in totally the wrong manner, why not find out first what happened then deal with the mods here in a private conversation, I have always found them to be extremely helpful. well for me anyway and think people know I have had a few clashes here and on the whole the mods have dealt with it fairly!

To be fair...

He has a point, all it has done by removing his sig is antagonise him and possibly others!

Most of us run the servers for firstly, our benefit and to help find a place for the community on here. If the sigs aren't allowed then loads of us would leave from here, which then directly affects the sales of hardware directly to the shop!

I personally cannot see any problem advertising servers, clans etc!
