links for laptop cpu's explained...

I kind of know what is better and so on, but does anyone have any links for explaining cpu's in the terms of core 2 duo or duel core 2, very hard to understand if your not in IT, i have two friends who are buying laptops and i keep getting emails off them asking for advice..

be useful if anyone has come across a spec list

Dont know if its any use but there is a section on the intel site. Here- http://www.intel.com/products/laptop/processors/index.htm

Should be able to find and compare specs on there somewhere.Hope it helps.
