Linksys and firewall ?

Hi All I have a 'Linksys AG241 ADSL2+ Modem/Router' and was wondering if i will need to enable the Firewall in Vista ,as there is a built in Firewall with the Router ? thanks ..

i dont think it is really needed but the more security the better

A software firewall on your PC will prompt you if an internal application is attempting to get network access. For example, recenty I had a PC prompt me that an unknown application was attempting to email from my PC. Turned out to be a keylogger email logs off Your router wouldnt alert you to this, and unless it was strongly locked down it wouldnt prevent it either.

Then again, some people would argue that an application attempting to gain network access that you didnt want is most likely to be virus/spyware and a decent AV would pick it up anyway
