I'm trying to install my linksys wireless usb adapter (WUSB54GS) on vista 64bit but i'm struggling. I put the disk in to run the installation and when it tells me to plug it into the usb port, I do and nothing happens, no light on the adapter and the installation exits with no messages. So I went on the linksys website and downloaded the vistra driver but I dont know what to do with it. I thought I would just go into device manager select the adapter and choose to update driver by manually selecting the driver, so I did this and it said it cant find anything. Any ideas what I can do?

According to their website, there is currently only a 32-bit Vista driver available. You'll just have to wait and hope they release a 64-bit version, or buy an adapter that has the Vista support you need.

There are 64 bit drivers available just not from Linksys. I'll see if I can find the link again.

EDIT: Actually when I installed mine WUSB54GS - I just let Vista search for the drivers and its all working. Try plugging in the adaptor and letting Vista search for the drivers.
