Hi all,

I have the Linksys WAG54GS Gateway.

I'm experiencing wireless problems with my XBOX360 and thought I would try and download some firmware from the site.

After selecting my product version, it gives me a link to download verson 1.00.12, to which the version currently installed is .06.

The router tells me that it isn't a valid file for the upgrade (.img file) and to redownload the correct one.

support is crap, they say I should have a model version on my router which I do not have. It just says WAG54GS, not rev1 or anything else like that.

Any ideas? This is really starting to get on my wick now. If I fail in solving this problem then I will seriously take a hammer to this lump of tacky crap.

The xbox360 keeps disconnecting randomly.

Tried moving it closer to the xbox, it's about 5 foot away now. I'm no good with wireless as haven't used it much before as I'm the only family member with a PC.

Tried different encryption methods, added the XBOX360 wireless adapters mac code to the allowed client table. Anything else?

Use a wire and see if it's the same, and/or try the xbox with another wireless device (friend's router, another wireless dongle in AP mode, whatever)?
