Hi all,

i have got a linksys router and it worked fine for few month's, it worked at 54mbps which was full... and was very happy... but then it started to get slower and and slower and then it started cutting the net off... we didnt think nout of it as we fort it be ntl, so we phoned ntl and they told us that are internet has been turned off and on 35 times in 9 days... they told us to ring back if the internet cut out again, to see if they was any bug's in the line... next day... internet cut out and as the internet was going slower, we fort we just try the modem straight in 2 pc... the internet was down @ the time... but the internet worked... so i plugged the enet cable back in to router and then internet was down... so we fort... ffs its the router, so i reset it and everything, cleaned all the traffic etc... the last week... its been cutting out every day and its really doing mine and my dad's head in...
do you think they may be a bug in the router? we dont have a clue.. its really doing are head in... if any of you know what might be doing this please reply :)

oh... and my mbps is 11.0 and it hasnt moved for the time i had it...

Thanks All Chopper :(

To answer your question I think you said that if you plug a PC direct to the modem it works and if you go through the router it tends to crash, that being the case it could well be the router however you don't tell us the exact router type and if you are hammering things like p2p or Bit Torrent ? This can bring some routers to a grinding halt including certain Linksys routers as they had a connection logging bug. Also have you updated the router firmware to the latest version ?
