Linksys Router won't connect to internet

'lo all...
not quite sure what happened yesterday, a powercut or someone turning my router off... i don't know, but the problem is my AG241 router lost its settings.

i've changed the settings to PPPoA and entered my username and password for my connection. i've also set it to a Keep-Alive connection, but now it wont connect to the internet

my network is fine however, all machines on it can talk to one another fine.
is there anything else i can try?

it's also worth noting that my old usb speedtouch modem can connect to the net fine, so its not a phoneline problem.

is my router borked, or am i being a n00b and missing something out?

Is there a light on the router saying it's trying to connect? I had a similar thing with a Netgear. Had some form of power outage (due to a storm if I remember right) and then the thing wouldn't try to sync at all. I put it down to it being connected to the phone line when whataver happened, happend.

check vcmux settings, vpi and vci? Try factory reset?

i get the DSL light, but the internet light stays off.
normally it would go red it there was a problem with my internet connection or something like that...

from memory vpi and vci are set to 0 and 38

this turned out to be my problem

vpi was set to 0
vci was set to 35

changed to 0, and 38 - saved settings and rebooted the router

and here we are
