Linksys Velop - Slow internet speeds

Hello!

I'm with Virgin on their M200 package, so I should be getting 200Mbps minimum.

And according to my Linksys Velop speed check, I am! I'm getting 213Mbps to be exact.

But on my PC, mobile phone and work laptop, when running Google's speed test I'm lucky to get over 100Mbps. Similar results with Ookla. My devices are connected to the nearest mesh node.

Possibly unrelated, but I do get choppiness on work Zoom calls and sometimes buffering video on youtube.

Has anyone else had similar problems?
 
Your routing/peering to each speed test server will vary, I suspect the 213 result is from the on-network speed test servers which is what VM will guarantee, as obviously anything off network isn’t something they have direct control of.
 
Thanks - so I've tested a connection directly to the Virgin Media hub and got 218MBps. The Velop internal test gives me the same, but the performance of the mesh itself is anywhere between 50 and 100Mbps - so there's a problem with the Mesh (in other words I've ruled out the test server speed variable).
