Other than going round switching them off, you more or less can't.

but it gives him an idea what to look for and where it could be.

Hardly.

The network name is currently OLDCOLWYN, but the adapter still find the others and I want the others to piddle off because a couple of the others seem to take priority over the linksys one that we need it to.

Obviously, I have not been abel to have any updates as such about the network, as I have not yet gone there, but I will go there is a short while and have more looks and more playabouts...updates after that.

Hey hey... Cmon guys... Dont argue over me... I know Im a decent bit of stuff, but I'm spoken for.

I have not seen the option to NOT CONNECT to this or that wireless network, so I will definitely have a look at that later on ( At about 6pm )

At the end of the day, I have set their router up like my own, I have my prinouts to compare just in case I missed summat, so if they are still getting the problems, then I seriously doubt its something that isnt my fault.

Hell, you should see the wires I need to negotiate when I go there... The laptop is on a bed, the router etc get pulled apart when she has finished with it, and put back up when she uses it, now this I have told her straight, to leave the bloody router where it is, and only connect the Ethernet cabel to it when she needs to... I think thats an issue that she MUST sort out too.

The actual wiring inside the house is a serious mess and this I can happily go through, and check, but again, I am not wasting my time unless they are willing to pay for it.

Also, another note, is that the Phone crackles too! - I only found this out a short while ago, so thats another pointer to it NOT being my fault, but this does not give me a reason as to why the Wireless adapter wont connect to the router.

Before I shoot off, what do I need to know if the wireless says its connected, but wont actually access the internet?

Ok, quickly before the game starts....

LapTop and the PC are now running Wireless ( Got wired sorted of course first and then killed off the Wireless management )

I have a sneaky that perhaps someone on one of the other WLANs were able to kill it off, and it was completely unsecure and open when I left it, its now closed with 128bit.

I did an F&R on the Desktop PC and it went straight in, opened up My Computer and typed google, and it came up in about 3 seconds, so thats good.

The Router settings were a little out... Not sure what, but the PPPoA was the wrong one... it was 1000 summat when it should have been 2000 summat, and WLAN Management as I said was enabled.

So, I think its done, I will give it a day or two to see if it gets knocked off again, but other than that it was ok when I left it.
