Hi
At the mo I have a wired router with 4 network cables coming of it, now each one of these cables goes into a seperate room to provide intrernet access.
One of the guys I share a house with says he wants wireless in his room due to having a lpatop. I only want his room to be wireless as nobody else uses laptops bad walls interference etc.
I am looking at buying one of thse
Linksys WAP54G 54Mbps Wireless Access Point
to put in this guys room only. As he will still have the cable going to his room and then can have wireless actually inside his room.
Am I right in thinking that an access point is the right bit of kit for this.
Also are these easy to setup. I take it plug it in, and then only setup the wireless on the access point, and it converts the wired signal into wireless.
Hope that makes sense.
Cheers
Nigel
