Hi I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. 3 computers are connected wirelessly (including mine) and 1 is connected via a cable. When the PC connected via a cable is switched on, the router briefly drops the wireless connection to all 3 other machines. I've tried restarting and resetting the router, but the problem still remains.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Michael.

Have you checked you have the latest firmware for the router ? Also do the logs make any mention of an event that may be related to this ?

how's the signal for wireless connection?

The signal is great!

Mine was doing the same, I disabled "Secure Easy Setup" and the problem went away.

I'll try this... what do I lose by switching it off? Actually I had literally just switched it off before the wired PC was turned on. It actually completely booted me off the network this time (red cross over the network icon) and when I searched, said there were no wireless networks available. A couple of seconds later, the wireless network was there again, and I had to click connect to get it hooked up again.

I do have the latest firmware yes, but unfortunately logging was switched off! I'll turn it on again and keep an eye on it.

Thanks
