Linksys WRT54GL + Netgear WG111

Hi, i just ordered the Linksys router and Netgear adapter because i needed to which to wireless. Im on vigin, will it all work fine?

I heard the Netgear WG111 has a few problems with vista, so im about to reinstall xp on the computer that needs wireless, the other two computers will be hooked up via cable. Should this all be ok?

Do i need anything else?

Do i need to enter any information into the router or will the modem have all that? I heard i needed a few things if i wanted to set up a static ip address is this true?

We use a GL on our Virgin connection. Handles everything fine, but you'll want to flash it to the custom DD-WRT or Tomato (our preference) firmware to get some extra options/speed.

Nope, just set up the router how you want it then plug in the modem to the WAN port. If needs be reset either/both to get the modem to give the router a new IP address.
