Hi all.

Basically, I got my router about 18 months ago, and as soon as I did I port forwarded for Football Manager 08 to allow me to host network games.

Everything worked fine, followed the guide for Football Manager 06 and it all worked perfectly.

So I stop playing the game for a few months, and I go back to play it and now I'm unable to host the multiplayer games, everytime the other players try to connect to me they get "unable to connect to server" (its not problems with the settings in-game).

So basically I'm completely baffled as to whats stopping me hosting them.

I've been back on my router page and my ports are still open and nothings changed, I've quadruple checked over and over and there is no problems.

I havent changed any settings at all, does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Thanks.

Do you have a personal firewall app on your PC?

Have you tried double-checking that Football Manager 08 hasn't been patched to use different ports and/or you're remembering the ports it uses incorrectly?

Well, I followed a guide on Port-Forward.com and the guide hasn't been updated as of yet since the new Football Manager patch was released - but people who have the same router as me haven't had any problems.

And I don't have a firewall on my PC, just the windows one with XP SP2, but I had that before and I've tried disabling it and it still doesn't work.
