Linksys WRT610N problem

Okay, I bought this router and got it yesterday, with an AM200 modem. The problem is I can only get the net if I plug the modem into the 'normal' ethernet ports on the router, and the 'Internet' dedicated one just sits idle, the little light appears on the router showing it's connected, but nothing. The odd little flash, but really nothing of interest. The 'Status' tab in the FW shows no net connection, just Blanks under the Intenet section. However if I plug it into the normal ethernet ports the router won't forward wireless to the modem for a net connection, so that's not a viable option (unless someone can tell me how to set that route?).

I tried upgrading to the B18 FW (from Linksys US site) still nothing. I also tried plugging in my old (and terrible) D-Link DSL-300T. It somewhat works in the fact it registers a net connection in the 'Status' tab, albeit just the internet IP, no gateway IP, so if I try to use the net I still get nothing.

I've noticed the 10+ become '3' on the OcUK site, so hopefully someone else here has grabbed one. And can say their unit works, as right now I am thinking the Internet' ethernet port is faulty?

Any clues? An RMA in order?

The internet port is meant for use with cable internet. Not sure about your wireless problem though but I would think you'll need custom firmware to do it.

The WAN interface isn't tied to a cable modem - you can attach pretty much anything you like to it, so long as it's presented over ethernet. There's no reason the AM200 shouldn't work.

Is the AM200 in bridge mode?

It's in Gateway mode, I think. I did look at the option, but never changed it, should choose that? I tried resetting both devices to factory settings, only thing I did was enter my ISP connection stuff to the AM200.

Only other thing I have tried is to change the IP of the modem (as default has both modem and router as 192.168.1.1, so I changed it to .1.2), so the 2 don't clash (causes problems in that LELA crap more so than anything, since it then cannot work out what 'router' I am using, unless I do that.
