Hey, I've got a WRT54G model router, everything was going alright up until this morning, when the network died.

I tried to access the router, via internet explorer to set up the network again, (rename it, put WEP password on, ect ect) and my explorer keep saying "cann't display page" "server timed out" I've tried pinging the router via the run > cmd thing and it says that it's unresponsive.

I've reset the router, I'm completely lost.

Anyone have any idea why it's doing this ?

normally run 2 laptops / 2 pc's from the wireless connection, which has gone down before but can always be accessed via 192.168.1.1

Any help would be awesome, as I can't get internet on anything else.

Your best bet is to re-set the router and then temporarily hard wire one of your laptops to the router to access the config page to make the necessary changes.

From here you should then flash the router with Tomato custom firmware which is far more stable and customisable and also use WPA and not WEP to ensure maximum security.
