Hi folks,

Any knowledgeable and enthusiastic people and their midi hardware audio hardware and music production software here? were you successful with running Ableton Live or Cubase, Cubase Artist or Cubase Element 8 in Linux?

Thank you

None of those you listed are available for Linux IIRC, yes we could run them just fine through Wine, but there is already plently of free ones for Linux that are similar, as good and in some cases better that run natively.
The KXStudio distro is a perfect place to start.

To your original question I highly doubt Cubase would run even through wine due to the way the e-licenser works, there have been cases where people have been able to get Ableton to work no problem. Ardour is a free, open source DAW which is very good when combined with JACK. Bitwig also has a native Linux version which is great to see. Reaper also has a very experimental Linux beta available.
