Linux article - Windows is Free

I'm still reading the posts at digg.com as posted above... I can't believe people are getting so mixed up about the linux proxy system...

Microsoft are hiding behind linux...

Where in the above statement does it say that IIS6 runs on linux?
It's not the artical writer thats the numbskull, it's everyone else that posted after it that can't comprehend what people are trying to say...

Microsoft are hiding behind linux... is it so incomprehensible? is it really so alien?

Thing is most people don't know anything about computers, well the general public such as normal office workers and children and people generally uninterested in computers. All they think is if it works its ok or if they can do a spreadsheet etc, but the fact they are unaware of the rubbish microsoft pumps out and all their pc crashes and slow loading and everything is due to windows only is the reason they put up with it, if they were made aware that linux works just as well (except for gaming) then im sure a lot more people would use linux.

My Win2kpro install is slow now, it is not a old install. About 1 year old & sometimes stuff stops responding. I may need more ram, only 512 now, but sometimes it takes 20-30 secs to load a UT2004 Balistic Weapons map!! My cpu is 2.2 Ghrtz so no prob. there.
